What is Seesaw?

Seesaw is the main method teachers and families can communicate, and it acts as a digital communication book, allowing instant messaging. Seesaw can be accessed via a web browser, or through a smartphone app.

Using the smartphone app

Download the Seesaw App from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Launch the app, and tap on “I’m a Family Member”

Enter your email address and password into the box and tap “Family Log In”. If you do not know your password, tap the “Forgot Password?” link instead, and enter your email address.

If you have multiple email addresses, note that the email address for Seesaw must match the one supplied to the school upon enrolment – you will receive a welcome email from Sentral when your account is created.

Tap the messages icon in the top left

You can respond to any existing conversation by tapping on the conversation in the list. If you want to start a new conversation with your child’s teacher, tap the compose button in the top right.

If you tapped the compose icon, you will need to tick the people you want involved in the conversation. Then tap Next.

Tap into the bottom box and type your message. You can send attachments like pictures with the green + button. Tap Send to send the message to the teacher.

Note that teachers do not reply to messages while teaching, on break, or on leave, so any correspondance which needs to be actioned that day should be phoned to the school on 9646 0855.
