The partnership between the Victorian College of the Arts (VCASS) and Port Phillip Specialist School (PPSS) is now in its 10th successful year. Throughout the year, on a weekly basis, VCASS students visit PPSS classrooms to share their Arts expertise, in turn engaging our students in learning. The opportunity for growth and development in students from each school is vast as the quote below demonstrates.
“This Semester in the integrated program I have learnt a lot about myself from going to Port Phillip Specialist School. I was put in a class with kids who couldn’t communicate or care for themselves. Throughout the weeks we went to PPSS I got to see past the child’s disability and see the real person and how they were just kids wanting to have fun” – Year 9 VCASS student
